The method of opening your door using this app varies depending on the Smart Door Lock model. For some door lock models, you can open the door with your Galaxy Gear S3/Sport. For others, you can open the door with the smartphone app.

[How to open the door with the smartphone App]

1. Check if the door lock model you purchased supports the smartphone app.
SHP-DP808, SHP-DP728, SHP-DP727,SHP-DH525, SHP-DS705
2. Install the Smart Door Lock and app then register the door lock in the app.
3. Turn on the smartphone Bluetooth™ function.
Using Bluetooth™, you can open the door in two ways, which are automatic app execution and door opening after the app is started.
SHP-DS705: Start the app when near the door lock and touch the lock icon to open the door lock.
SHP-DP808, SHP-DP728, SHP-DP727,SHP-DH525
The app is automatically activated when near the door lock. When you touch the lock icon, the door lock is opened.

[How to open the door with the Galaxy Gear S3/Sport]
You can use the Galaxy Gear to open your door when you have the following:

1. Door Lock Model: SHP-DS705
2. Wearable Device Models: Gear Sports, Gear S3 (Tizen 3.0)
3. A Samsung Galaxy Note 3, 4, 5, 7, S6, S6 edge, or S7

[How to link the app with the door lock]

1. Install the Samsung Gear app in your smartphone and link it to your Samsung Gear S3 (Gear Sports).
2. Install the sHome Doorlock app in the smartphone then register the door lock.
3. Install the sHome Doorlock app from Samsung Galaxy Apps in S3.

1. Check that you are using a compatible smartphone. The Smart Door Lock functions successfully only with compatible smartphone models.
2. Check if the smartphone models of your family are compatible with the Smart Door Lock. For information on smartphone models with interoperability, please refer to the Product Details page menu on our website, or check the FAQs in sHome Doorlock app.
3. Check if Bluetooth™ function is turned on. Smart Door Lock entry/exit records can be checked only when the device is within a specified radius.
4. Check if the smartphones of your family members are registered to the door lock. You can check the registered family members at sHome Doorlock APP > Settings > My Door Lock > Member Information screen.
5. Notice Receipt: You can receive notices only when the Receive Notice function is set in the app. Check sHome Doorlock APP > Settings > My Door Lock > Receive Notice function. You will receive real-time family return notices once it is activated.

Yes. You can switch on/off entry/exit records by using the Entry/Exit menu in the sHome Doorlock app. When you switch off the function, your entry/exit records are not shown to either you or the linked family members.

You can choose whether or not to receive push messages to notify the entry/exit of family members that are registered in the sHome Doorlock App.
In App Settings > My Door Lock. Select Door Lock > Receive Notice, disable the “Receive Notice” setting.
When the app is installed for the first time, the default setting for App Settings > Door Lock Automatic Connection is “on.”
